Marvin Kehl - Senior Pastor

 

     Brother Marvin Kehl was Licensed to the Ministry in 1978 at the age of 19 and Ordained to the Ministry in 1980 at the age of 21 at Trinity Baptist Church, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. In his early ministry he served as Minister of Youth and Recreation at Nicoma Park (1980-1982) and Pastor of Youth and Education at First Baptist Church, Canadian, Texas (1982-1983). Entering the senior pastorate in 1983, he’s served at Trinity Baptist Church, Maud (1983-1987), First Baptist Church, Sentinel (1987-1991), and First Baptist Church, Cushing (1991-1997). Brother Marvin then moved to Surprise, Arizona where he planted and founded Palm Vista Baptist Church. Starting with just his family; the church grew to 350 in attendance. In 2001, Brother Marvin began his pastorate at Cordell, Oklahoma. As of October 10th, 2010 First Baptist Church of Seminole asked that Brother Marvin serve as our Senior Pastor, he graciosly accepted.  

     Pastor Marvin’s Birthday is October 2nd (1959), he married Karla Dawn (Gillham) on June 20th, 1980. They have two daughters; Ashley Marie, a graduate from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Weatherford, Oklahoma. She lives in Oklahoma City and is the Director of Comunications for Lt. Govenor Todd Lamb. Lauren Elyse is a Sophomore at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Brother Marvin is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma (1983) and the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary receiving his MA in Religious Education in 1989. He has served as a Trustee for Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU) and a variety of key nominated and elected positions in Baptist life at the State and Associational level.

Matt Pollock - Minister of Education and Children

Biography: Matt Pollock has served as Minister of Education and Children at First Baptist Church of Seminole since November 2006.  He entered the United States Air Force in 1980 immediately after graduating from Capitol Hill High School.  He served as a Security Policemen for 24 years, retiring in 2004.  He taught Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps at Choctaw High School for two years prior to his call into full-time ministry.  Bro. Matt holds an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virgina, and a Masters Degree in Human Resources Development from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri.
 
Family:  Bro. Matt has been married to Tina for 26 years.  They have three grown Children.  Joshua and his wife Katherine live in Seminole, where Josh serves in our Church as Minister of Junior High Students.  Stephanie attends Seminole State College and Jordan is a Junior at Seminole High School.

Terry Howard - Bridge Minister

Terry Howard has served First Baptist Church of Seminole since December of 2009. Terry grew up in Seminole where he graduated Seminole High School in 1982.   After Graduation he began working for his family owned wrecker service. After operating and owning tow trucks for 28 years he was called to serve at FBC. He served as a deacon at FBC since 1998. He has participated or lead mission trips to Mexico, Istanbul, Turkey and Phoenix, AZ.
 
Family: Terry is married to Cherry. They have two generations of five children. Angel, Gabbi and Jayden are the younger generation. Lee and Tori are the older generation.  Lee lives in Tulsa. Tori and her husband Trent Goodwin live in Collinsville, Ok with our granddaughter Breeann.

Colt Kreeger - Minister of Students

Colt has served as the Minister of Students at FBC Seminole since May of 2009.  Colt graduated from High school in 2001, graduated from The University of Oklahoma in 2006 with a B.A. in Religious Studies. Colt is now a student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Colt served as the Baptist Collegiate Minster at Seminole State College from 2007 to 2009. Colt spends his time hanging out with and discipling students, talking theology and football in the bridge, and prayer walking the streets of his hometown.

Family:  Colt grew up in Seminole and most of his family still lives in Seminole. Colt married heather in 2008. Heather is a professor at Seminole State College where she teaches Business classes, computers, and French

Joshua Pollock - Minister of Junior High Students

Joshua served as our Minister to Junior High Students since May 2009. Joshua was brought onto our staff in a part-time capacity to work along-side Brother Colt in ministering to our quick growing and fast passed Junior High Students. He spends his time preparing studies and teaching Sunday school, Wednesday night youth, and other special events. Focusing primarily on our 7th and 8th Grade Students, he’s spearheaded separate events for this dynamic age group including bible studies and discipleship groups. Joshua helped lead the programs for falls creek for the last three years and was a key planner with Vacation Bible School and Children’s Camp. Joshua creates all of our media arts, develops power point slides and advertisements and also maintains our website. 
 
On Novebmer 17th, 2010 Joshua was Liscensed and Ordained by FBC Seminole. Joshua is married to Catherine, a High School Math Teacher at Seminole High School.  
 
Family:  Joshua has been married to Catherine for 4 years. Bro. Joshua is the eldest son of Tina and Matthew Pollock, our Minister of Education and Children. His is oldest grandson of Herman and Bonnie Ritchie.

Sherri Costerisan - Pastor / Financial Secretary and Office Manager

 Biography:

Sherri is currently serving as Pastor’s Secretary, Financial Secretary & Office Manager.
She moved to Oklahoma in June of 2000 with her husband Craig of 34 years,
son Josh now residing in Wyoming, and daughter Hannah now married to
Christopher Dye of Seminole. Sherri & Craig serve as our 3 year old Sunday school teachers.

Stephanie Fletcher - Food Service Director
Biography: Stephanie Fletcher has served as Hostess of First Baptist Church of Seminole for 2 years. 
 
Family:  Stephanie's husband is Rob Fletcher. They have been married for 5 years. Stephanie has 2 children; Talon is 15 and David is 3. Talon is an 8th grader at Maud High School and David is in the 3 year old Sunday School Class.
